The Caprans are counted among the shorter-lived races of Eldar. Strong and hearty, they are not the kind of people to interact with others, but rather are intent on living their lives in isolation and peace. They do not allow other races inside their borders, and are not afraid to strike down those who would dare presume otherwise. Theirs is a life of hard labor, although they do not focus on any particular goal for a long period of time.

Caprans are as physically diverse as Humans. What sets them apart is their more animalistic nature, their elongated and pointy ears, and the spiraling horns that can be found protruding out of their heads. They reach adulthood in their mid-twenties, when their horns are considered fully grown, and they live a little over a century. A single Capran can stand from 5 feet to a little under 6 feet tall and weigh from 150 to 275 pounds. Capran skin shades match that of the Human spectrum, and their hair rarely grows long, even among females. They dress in unique animal hides and furs fashioned into crude fabrics. Like most of the races of Eldar, Caprans have adopted the Human language as their common tongue, thought they do possess their own language that they speak and write in.

Caprans prefer the quiet solitude of the more mountainous areas found in Eldar, far to the northeast. The natural terrain provides strong protection from outsiders, and the few cities they have built remain hidden from prying eyes. Caprans follow their traditions with a strict doctrine, and are rarely influenced by outside sources. These traditions include a belief that words are useless, and that to communicate properly requires action. They live entirely for the future, and for the preservation of their race. Those few Caprans who take up the life of a scholar focus on recording the history of their own people rather than the history of the world. Another tradition they carry is to obey the elder members of their race. Age is a sign of respect and honor, and as such demands obedience, for the older are seen as having far more experience, and therefore possessing much more wisdom.

Caprans create and obtain everything they need from their own lands. The mountains provide rare ores and metals, the fertile lands and nearby rivers allow for vast plantations of crops and domesticated animals, and the nearby coasts help them to fish and gather other materials from the ocean. The Caprans are among those races that are not born with the innate ability to wield magic. As such the Caprans have instead built up their armies and skills in weaponry. Many are fine archers and lancers, and are easily capable of defeating at least five opponents at once.
